Rydapt (Midostaurin) is a cancer medication that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body. Rydapt Side Effects:
Common side effects of Rydapt may include bruising, nosebleeds, cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, or sore throat, infection around a needle injection, headache, drowsiness, mouth sores, muscle or bone pain, trouble breathing, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea, or swelling in your hands, feet, or ankles.

Rydapt Directions:
Take Rydapt exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Rydapt is typically taken 2 times per day (once every 12 hours). Take this medication with food. Take your doses at regular intervals to keep a steady amount of the drug in your body at all times period you may be given medication to prevent nausea or vomiting while you are taking this medication. If you vomit shortly after taking Rydapt, do not take another dose. Wait until your next scheduled dose time to take the medication again. Do not crush or open a Rydapt capsule. You should not use Rydapt if you are allergic to Midostaurin. To make sure this medication is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have ever had lung disease or breathing problems. Rydapt can harm an unborn baby or cause birth defects if the mother or the father is using Rydapt. You may need to have a negative pregnancy test before starting this treatment. If you are a woman, do not use Rydapt if you are pregnant. Use effective birth control to prevent pregnancy while you were using this medication, in for at least four months after your last dose. If you are pregnant, your name may be listed on a pregnancy registry to track the effects of Rydapt on the baby. If you are a man, use effective birth control if your sex partner is able to get pregnant. Keep using birth control for at least four months after your last dose. Rydapt may also affect fertility (ability to have children) in both men and women. you should not breastfeed while using this medication, and for at least four months after your last dose. Rydapt is not approved for use by anyone younger than 18 years old. Grapefruit may interact with this medicine and cause unwanted side effects. Avoid the use of grapefruit products during treatment.
