Trelegy Ellipta (Fluticasone Furoate/Umeclidinium Bromide/Vilanterol Trifenatate) is a prescription long term treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both, for better breathing and fewer flare-ups. Trelegy Ellipta contains three medications, Fluticasone, Umeclidinium, and Vilanterol. Fluticasone belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. It works by reducing swelling of the airways in the lungs to make breathing easier. Umeclidinium belongs to a class of drugs knowns as anticholinergics and Vilanterol is a LABA medication. Both of these drugs are called bronchodilators and work by relaxing the muscles around the airways so that they open up and you can breathe more easily. Trelegy Directions:

If you use other inhalers at the same time, wait at least one minute between the uses of each medication.

Trelegy Precautions:

Before you use Trelegy Ellipta, inform your doctor if you are allergic to Fluticasone, Umeclidinium, or Vilanterol, or if you have any other allergies. Inform your doctor if you have a history of current or past infections, heart problems, high blood pressure, bone loss, eye problems, difficulty urinating, seizures, overactive thyroid, diabetes, liver disease. This medication can make you more likely to get infections or may worsen any current infections. Avoid contact with people who have infections that may spready to others. Trelegy Ellipta may temporarily slow dosen a child's growth if used for a long time. Get your child's height checked regularly. This medication should not be used during pregnancy unless it is clearly needed. It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breast-feeding. Some medications can affect the removal of Fluticasone from your body, which may affect how this medication works. These medications include boceprevir, HIV protease inhibitors, and some antifungals, etc.
