Alecensa Information:
Buy Alecensa
Alecensa (Alectinib Hydrochloride) is a prescription medication that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body. Alecensa belongs to a class of anti-cancer medications called “antineoplastics”, and more specifically, is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Alecensa is used to treat a certain type of non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. Alecensa is only used if your cancer has a specific genetic marker (an abnormal “ALK” gene). Your doctor will test you for this gene. Alecensa works by selectively blocking two receptor tyrosine kinase enzymes: anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) and the RET proto-oncogene. Inhibition of ALK blocks cell signaling pathways within the body, blocking the ability of cancer cells to replicate and grow, and inducing death of the cancer cells.
