Precautions
Be sure to take Alphagan Z exactly as your doctor describes for you. Follow all instructions that come with your medication.
If you wear contact lenses, wait to put your contacts in for at least 10 minutes after administering the eye drops.
Wash your hands before administering. Tilt your head back and pull down your lower lid to create a small pocket. Squeeze a drop out and be sure to avoid touching the tip to your eye or eyelid. Use only the number of drops prescribed by your doctor.
Wait for at least 5 minutes before using any other eye drops.
Store at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and do not freeze.
There can be interactions between Alphagan Z and other medications. Especially antidepressants, or heart/blood pressure medication, and any medication that can worsen the effects of drowsiness: opioids, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, antianxiety or seizure medications. Talk to your doctor before you use other medications while on Alphagan Z.
To ensure this medication is right for you, be sure to tell your doctor if any of the following conditions apply to you:
• Buerger disease
• Coronary artery disease
• Depression
• Heart problems or circulatory problems
• Low blood pressure
