Xalkori Precautions:

Before you start taking Xalkori, tell your doctor if you have:

• A heart rhythm disorder;
• An electrolyte imbalance (like low levels of potassium or magnesium in your blood);
• If you take any heart or blood pressure medicines;
• Liver or kidney disease;
• Long QT syndrome (in you or a family member)

Xalkori can cause birth defects in an unborn child. Females should not use Xalkori while pregnant and should use effective birth control to prevent pregnancy while on this medication and 45 days after stopping. Females should also not breastfeed while taking Xalkori until 45 days have passed following the last dose. Males should use effective birth control as well if their partner is able to get pregnant and should continue to do so until 90 days have passed after the last dose.
