Afinitor Information:
Buy Afinitor
Afinitor (Everolimus) is used to treat various types of cancer, including advanced breast cancer, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, and advanced renal cell carcinoma. It is also prescribed to treat non-malignant conditions such as subependymal giant cell astrocytoma (SEGA) and noncancerous kidney tumors associated with tuberous sclerosis complex. Furthermore, it is used with other medications to treat partial onset seizures associated with tuberous sclerosis complex. The active ingredient in Afinitor is everolimus, which belongs to a class of drugs known as mTOR inhibitors. Everolimus works by blocking the mTOR protein kinase, which plays a crucial role in the signaling pathways involved in cell growth, proliferation and survival. By blocking the activity of mTOR, Afinitor interferes with the abnormal growth and division of cancer cells. This process helps to slow down or stop the progression of cancer. Additionally, Afinitor may also inhibit angiogenesis, the process by which tumors form new blood vessels to supply themselves with nutrients and oxygen, further impeding tumour growth.
