Solaraze Information:

Solaraze (generic name: Dicofenac Sodium) is a drug which is prescribed for the treatment of warty overgrowths of skin on sun-exposed areas of the body, known as Actinic Keratoses. Actinic Keratoses is a small rough spot occurring in the skin. It generally measures 2-6 millimeters in diameter, and is usually red in color with a rough texture. It sometimes has a yellow or white scalp on top. The active ingredient in Solaraze is Dicofenac Sodium, which is an anti-inflammatory drug belongs to the group called NSAIDs. Lower doses of Dicofenac topical gel are used to treat pain from osteoarthritis. In osteoarthritis it works by reducing the hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Diclofenac topical gel is used to treat joint pain in the hands, wrists, elbows, knees, ankles and feet caused by osteoarthritis. The medication may not be effective in treating arthritis pain elsewhere in the body.
